The Carolina Cousins would like to host Cousins Day 2004 on Saturday, July 24, 2004. Click for details
Considering the distance, Ben & Teri, Rita & Paul, and Joe & Susan would need a FIRM COMMITMENT by March 1, 2004. If there are enough to say “YES”, they will host in North Carolina, otherwise it may be easier for Liuzzo, Liuzzo and Santos clans to “reverse commute” and return to the metro area — assuming someone here is willing to host # 17 in the northeast.
Any alternate volunteers just in case?????
Can you believe it will be 3 years in July since Ben & Teri moved. We can have Cousins Day 2004 and a nice HOUSE WARMING all at the same time! Sue & Joe’s Photo Gallery needs some updating showing “visitors”.

SEPTEMBER 2004
On September 7th, Lynette got engaged to her boyfriend, David. October 15, 2005 has been set as the wedding date. Linda Sue & Ray are looking forward to becoming “outlaws”!
The Story…..
David called me on the way home from the gym and told me he was going to get take out so I told him what I wanted. He told me that if he wasn’t home when I got there he was picking it up…
I got there and no one was home. When he got home he said he changed his mind and we were going out for dinner. I scrambled since I just came from the gym…
We got in the car and went to the restaurant—we walked in and he picked up the order to go….
I’m kind of annoyed now because I was hungry….
We got back in the car and drove to the beach. He had packed a picnic basket and blanket and wine… We went up on the hill and we ate…
After dinner he pulled out a black box and told me not to be mad but my ring wasn’t ready. I opened it up and there was a blue plastic heart shaped ring.
I didn’t know what to say. Then he shifted sides and pulled out 5 more plastic rings…If you can believe it I was speechless and he was laughing.
He said “is this what you are looking for” pulled out another black box, got down on one knee and said “Lynette, Will you marry me?” Needless to say I said yes and called everyone….

Confessions of Online Dating!
I was a little nervous about people I knew seeing me on Match.com. After all, I didn’t want to be taken for a geeky, pathetic loser who couldn’t get a date. But the Internet has changed everything from the way we shop to the way we find driving directions. In this generation, cyberspace has become the hottest pick-up joint on the planet.
Still somewhat unnerved, I decided to lay low and only e-mail one man – Single_Lawyer72. His profile was intriguing; he seemed open, friendly, honest, and definitely attractive! As fate would have it, I received no response whatsoever. UGH! How disappointing! I can’t even recall how many times I checked my emails hoping for a message from him, but it never came. Oh well, I chalked up the experience to the MGM phenomenon of online dating – Men Gone Missing!
About two months later, I received an e-mail from a screen name which sounded so familiar to me, however there wasn’t a picture posted anymore. Lucky for me (and him) I had already memorized the photos he originally posted and naturally I decided to have a little fun and give him a hard time about his “delay” in responding. It seems that he never received my initial e-mail and was also interested in me, not knowing I had already attempted to connect with him. Was this destiny?
At first it was difficult to line up our calendars – he was traveling, I was sick, he was invited to a last minute baseball game with colleagues, I went away for a long weekend with some girlfriends. After canceling and rescheduling our first date several times and a few marathon conversations falling asleep with the phones to our ears, we set a time to meet. Bryan and I finally went for drinks and dinner at a Ching’s Table in New Canaan, CT.
When I first saw him walk into the restaurant I immediately thought he looked mature, handsome and warm. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, sharing our meals, stories, laughter and eventually we shared the ultimate dessert – romantic kisses! There was so much chemistry during our first date that it became pretty clear that the person sitting across the table may in fact be, “The One”. Bryan remembers that it was “like meeting your other half and now realizing what you have been missing your entire life without ever knowing it. We truly completed each other.” When we said goodnight, I knew we would be seeing each other again, but I didn’t realize that the next time would be the very next day… and every day there after!
We were together for 6 months when the holidays came and Bryan asked me to move in and make his place, our home. Then, on Friday August 18, 2006 Bryan proposed while out to dinner with my best friends. While he was on his knee, his eyes began tearing as he described the day he fell in love with me at Pete’s surprise 40th birthday party. (Thanks Pete!!) In the moments before I could answer, my emotions took over and I began crying and telling him how lucky I am to love such an amazing person. Then finally, my answer: YES!! followed by “and I think I’m going to be sick!” – LOL, I was so nervous and excited! Champagne began flowing to celebrate our engagement and the beginning of the next stage of our lives.
“Our story” serves as the prologue to the many chapters of our life’s book. We are excitedly looking forward to experiencing Chapter 1: The Making of Mr. & Mrs. Budnik!
